Yilipha (Yill-e-fa)
"I Give Freely To Those Who Protect Me"
Yilipha Celebration:
- Translation: 'Nature's Grace'
- Duration: One to five months during one reign
History
The Sacred Days of Aethel Caeloria: 'L'amatru,' 'Traverse,' and 'Yilipha' became officially recognised holy days within Aethel Caeloria that everyone had to participate in. Not only would the natives of Aethel Caeloria celebrate these days, but the royal family would also sit amongst their people as equals to recognise these critical days. This is worshipped for three-five months during each reign.
Execution
Yilipha Significance:
Yilipha signifies the appreciation for the Starlight Veil, flora and fauna, and the Nelaeryn Springs.
- C'avarnia: The elves of C'avarnia pay their respects at the Starlight Veil and the Nelaeryn Springs to show their profound appreciation for their existence and continual protection against harmful threats.
- House M'ithai: The Howlite Clan and elves from House M'ithai pay their respects deep into Myserth Forest, where the Aegean Serpents reside. While the elves do not venture too close, they are permitted to place silver lily bouquets around the mossclove areas to pay their respects to flora and fauna over the vast territories of House M'ithai.
- House Tythal: House Tythal alternate between House Mithai and C'arvarnia. There is no right or wrong choice, just as long as they pay their respects one way or another.
Participants
This tradition has no critical role because everyone within Aethel Caelorian lands is welcome. It is used as a basis for paying respect to the sacred structures that protect them from harm, light up their night, and appreciation for flora and fauna within the many lands.
Yilipha: This is a day of respect for the Starlight Veil, Nelaeryn Springs and creatures of the lands, which is known as 'Nature's Grace.'
Aethel Caeloria Respects: Each area of Aethel Caeloria pays their respects differently:
Yilipha in House M'ithai: House M'ithai combines effort with the Howlite Clan to make the forests look respectful and commemorative to the creatures as a means of appreciation. There would be hanging wreaths, free-flowing silk green and brown ribbons swirled around the trees, food baskets for the animals from elves of the land, and seeds planted in the ground to create more greenery for future creatures.
- House M'ithai: The elves within House M'ithai's territories primarily pay their respects to flora and fauna deep within the Myserth Forest with the protection of the Howlite Clan.
- C'avarnia: The elves within C'avarnia pay their respects to the Starlight Veil and the Nelaeryn Springs with the protection of the Varcanai Guard and Caelorian Incline.
- House Tythal: The elves of House Tythal alternate between C'avarnia and House M'ithai.
