Dihavanor's Sphere (Dee-have-a-nors-Sphere)

Dihavanor Aalarelai's Greatest Legacy

C.R. Eede
Dihavanor's Sphere
  • Name: Dihavanor's Sphere
  • Symbolism: Sacrifice and Honour
  • Recognition: 541 NE
  • Contribution: Offers a line of defence for the Starlight Veil and the entrance for Caelorian homes within the mountain's core.
  • Location: C'avarnia, Central
This is where stone architectural structures are located. They cover the features as the sun goes down and create a sphere protecting the Starlight Veil from the night. This is only when there is imminent danger lurking close by. The frame holds the citizens of C'avarnia underneath; therefore, it goes deep into the mountain's core. To the sides of Dihavanor's Sphere are two sets of staircases that descend into the heart of the mountain where the households of the kingdom reside. These staircases are always open.

Purpose / Function

Dihavanor's Sphere serves two purposes, both of which are important to the longevity of the capital:
  • The Stone Sphere: When the sun sets, the sphere protecting the Starlight Veil covers it/retracts but only occurs when an imminent threat lingers. This is the only moving structure throughout the kingdom.
  • The Community of Varcanai: Besides the sides of the main feature are two sets of staircases that descend deep into the core of the mountain, where the native elves of C'avarnia live. These staircases never close except during times of conflict.

Denizens

A few significant beings and features reside within Dihavanor's Sphere. See below:
  1. The Starlight Veil
  2. The Seed
  3. The Caelorian Queens
  4. The Saer Cavities

Alterations

The only alterations made over time to Dihavanor's Sphere is the addition of more homes within the mountain, for the stone remains robust.

Architecture

  • Stone Sphere: The stone sphere comprises the most robust white marble with gold and saer outlines. These lines glow when danger is nearby. These lines will turn blue when evil lies within the capital.
  • Staircases: The sides are made of carved stone and branches while the centre of the path is smooth stone.

Defenses

Four-six soldiers from the Varcanai Guard stand to attention around Dihavanor's Sphere to ensure the Starlight Veil and community is well protected. These guards will alternate throughout the day and night and patrol the area along with the Commander, Captain, or Squadron Leaders.
