Arc 2, Episode 3 - Shazok Cutscene
We switch to a large cavern, dark with just a hint of light beaconing from far above. Filled with a thick grey mist, swirling with every movement, every breeze. The cavern, or should I say room, is decorated like a giant workshop. Tables as high as people lined with Hammers and thongs, an anvil the size of a cart, old and rusty with age. Bellows large like the lungs of a whale, ready to heat up a basin of coals large enough to fill a bathhouse.
It is in this room, smooth of floor with jagged natural stone walls, that we see Shazok , the shade mother, standing Infront of a red glowing gateway. Like a blurry mirror, the portal shows a red, elegant figure on the other side, Tho no details can be caught.
"Good day, sister." Shazok croaks, spitting out the last word with disgust and distain. "I called to inform you that we have will soon be ready to request Ar'ginogs services. I suspect the plague forger will be pleased to be reunited with his beloved guard dog once more. We have located the remains of the emerald wings, and are in the process of stitching him back together. The fool of a Purvok made a mess trying to locate the remains himself. Fortunately his necromantic bindings are of more use than his excavation plans have been."
Shazok pauses for a moment as the figure in the mirror responds. Shouts and screams exit the portal, though incoherent to a spectator, they seem to convey some information to shazok.
"Foolish as Purvok might be, he hasn't been nearly as much of a disappointment as Uzzadan, or should I say, the fleishcouncler has been! His arrogance lost me the laboratory in Greykeep, I assume he was severely punished for his endangerment of our plans. His failure does not matter, for my army is close at hand. With the last pieces of the puzzle located, I have no need for a laboratory and research any longer. Once I awaken the forgotten souls of Hatred, I should have plenty an army. Those who are strong of mind and body will form the majority of the ranks. The weak of mind will be replaced thanks to the gnomes work and the hunter's contribution. Those with fragile bodies can be combined and made useful thanks to Purvoks endevours. I will have an army ready to breach the forests of Letherna atlast!"
More screaching from the portal ensues.
"Your concern is noted, but of no relevance. My experiments have come through, and a cure for the transference illness has been found. We no longer have to be afraid of our soldiers withering and wilting. Due to the lost child's efforts, transference will be as safe as it will ever be!"
