Personal history
Shyu is always the life of the party.
A wildcard at heart, Shyu's upbringing was very by the numbers. He worked the family farm, ate a commoner's diet, and lived life to its most mediocre.
That was until the circus came into town. With one look at the performers, he was hooked. Life is meant to be experienced, and every day is the greatest day.
Shyu would join the circus and build his skills alongside the freaks and oddities travelling with him. He would live his life partying 24/7 up until the circus ran its course.
Shyu would go onto wander aimlessly from tavern to tavern, scrapping together enough for party substances and meals. That was until he found a solid side gig, Bounty Hunting. Using his unassuming and jolly nature, Shyu went onto be a mildly successful hunter.

While on assignment, Shyu went on a journey to the primordial desert. He would go hunting down a local bandit leader. However, things didn't plan as he would soon end up stranded in the arid desert.
With nothing but small rations and his trusty handle of rum, Shyu barely grasped onto life. On what would seem like his final day of existence, Shyu happened upon a passed-out elf in the desert. Using his last bit of energy, he shook the elf awake and offered her the last of his rum.
To his surprise, the elf he saved would transform into Lliira, Lady of Joy. She was delighted by his selflessness and offered him salvation, and in return, he would serve under her. He gladly accepted and was magically transposed into another plane of existence. This plane felt homely and would, in fact, be his new residence, the inside of his flask.
He was now bound to his flask as a Genie and set off to serve as an agent of joy, bent on ridding the world of those who oppose.

While he did endure a life-changing event, Shyu still partakes in his bounty hunting to make ends meet. Now, Shyu aims to bring together all people in celebration and lift people's spirits. He believes in the good of people, and he only serves to take down those who bring others down. He may fight for pay, but he hasn't sacrificed his morals.
