House Di'Aurix
One of the core houses of the Theocracy. Though mostly known as patrons of crafts and culture, House Di'Aurix have influence in most other major houses of the Empire. Not only is this due to their extensive patronage of artists, and hence, propaganda, but also due to a historically strong loyalty from the local noble houses. House Di'Aurix are often seen as mediators, especially since their lands border several other houses.
Structure
House Di'Aurix is ruled by the head of the household. The title is hereditary, going to the oldest offspring by default, unless the heir is ineligible for some reason, or it is decreed otherwise.
The different offices and administrations of the land are managed by ministers and councilors who form the State Council. Land owners in the state have the right to petition the council, though they often organize behind lesser noble houses or some other form of representation. Non-landowning plebians may petition the council once a fortnight.
Public Agenda
House Di'Aurix pride themselves on their patronage of the arts, and welcome artists and craftsmen to their state.
During the recent times, the house has had several events that greatly damaged their reputation with the Ecclesiarchy. Whether those disagreements were intentional or not is up to debate, as many noble houses have been testing the boundaries of their independence from the Theocracy. However, with the prophesized return of Sol, the Ecclesiarchy is attempting to rein back the great houses of the empire.
Demography and Population
House Di'Aurix is mainly composed of Solari, with some mixed-blood scions.
Military
House Di'Aurix own a contingent of house guards, in addition to the Iliakos city guards who act as a police force. There are two Imperial Legions (the 6th and 13th), which answer to the house as well.
Religion
House Di'Aurix all worship Sol.
