The Suneater

One of the Yuan-ti's gods, the Suneater is a massive brown and red snake said to be larger than the world itself. It chases the sun, trying to consume its power for itself which causes the moon to come out. The Yuan-ti believe you can see the Suneater in the sky at certain places. Some Yuan-ti practice ritualistic burning of themselves in honor of the Suneater, and sometimes cults seeking to finally feed the sun to the Suneater appear.
