Monk
Monks are often seen as spiritual people who swear oaths to ideas and humble themselves through tradition. There are many monks like this in the White Raven Monastery, but it's not all there is. There are many monks in the streets of Requiem and Vanreth, learning tradition through urban masters. Many learn it in the forests or the caves, from carvings, paintings, or creatures who are willing to teach. Not all use it for good and spiritual reasons, many use their teachings to do harm to the world - taking the abilities they master and applying them as mercenaries, warlords, and adventurers.

Historical Monks
- Luves "Bandit" Ayde was a Rakin monk who learned her craft from fey creatures in the Wilds. When she entered the material she took up thievery and vigilantism in Darkroad, gaining the name "Bandit" for her raccoon appearance. It took an entire Drow house to track her down and capture her, though she escaped and wound up working in Requiem before her death.
- Alec Fernbone learnt his craft through the streets of Anchorpoint, and an order called 'Jade Knife'. Alec was best known for taking down 2 members of Curled Finger in the street, and later joining the group known as Subterfuge. Its unknown where Alec is now.
- Master Dadash was a Dwarven monk who was influential in tracking down and defeating a storm giant called Brun within the Hastlands. Having taken an oath of silence, Dadash was also known as a wonderful writer and excellent artist who excelled just as much with the brush as he did with his sword. Dadash would be one of the earliest adventurers in modern history.
