House Fullrider
House Fullrider was one of the oldest houes and most storied in Vanreth. They could trace their lineage back to the founding of Requiem, and were involved in every major conflict for the throne in one way or another. Once the masters of Orelin and Sliver, Fullrider was known as a house with deep connections throughout Vanreth. With allies all throughout, there was a time where seizing a throne without some kind of Fullrider support was seen as foolhardy.
However, Fullrider is now used as an example that not rules need to be written and some taboos are to not be broken.
House Ashwell took the throne without a fight, their opponents in House Scaleswept would see the fight coming as one with no chance of victory, the Ashwells fame from the Dragon War had proppelled them into the favourite. Fullrider had supported Scaleswept throughout their rule and was more than a little upset by the surrender. When Fullrider reached out for support for a coup, they found none early on. It was only when they turned to more devious means did they start finding allies. House Fullrider began the turning of a member of the Whitewatch, one who been donated 20 years ago to the organization. Slowly they convinced her that the only way to rejoin them, her family, was to help them take the throne. Through a couple years of wheeling and dealing since this plan came into motion, Fullrider launched a coup with the help of a handful of other houses, including Stormdrake who had promised that this would see a full take over. However, their assassin failed - killing only Luther Ashwell, the Paramount and not his sister as well. Mira quickly took command, and rallied forces against Fullrider. When House Highrun besieged Orelin and Stormdrake pulled support, House Fullrider surrendered. However, the turning of a Whitewatch member and assassination of Miras brother had her enraged. For over 2 years Fullrider and anyonoe who oppenly supported them were hunted down, with Fullrider and some of its closests allies being wiped out.
