Golden Flower Merchants Guild
Golden Flower is a long standing and reputable trading guild that formed around trade with Vanreth originally. A powerful force in eastern trade, they help supply the settlements east of the Hilt primarily - as well as pulling supplies into Vanreth itself and trading with a number of houses closer to the border. Golden Flower brings supplies to restock numerous towns and villages, even delivering to Spireflat out in the mesa despite the low profit. Their trade with Travellers Rest and Sunbrook kept both alive during troubling times, and has gained them a large level of respect in the east.
Golden Flowers work is done entirely through trade caravans. Unlike Crowned Ox, Golden Flower does not offer work to independent caravaners and only runs supplies through guild caravans. This leads to safer caravans at a higher cost to consumers, though one many in the east don't mind eating up. This does also lower the amount of potential caravans that can be run at any time, and so time to get supplies is less - meaning each caravan is more expensive and contains more goods. This makes them popular for bandits and gangs who aren't afraid of dealing with hired guards or mercenaries.
Vanrethian houses in the south rely somewhat on Golden Flower, who was trading with some of them since before Vanreth was a declared kingdom. This trade is extremely good for Golden Flower and has kept the guild running for a long time, and allowed them expenses they would not have been able to deal with such as hired guards and full guild caravans. The houses are big on tradition, as are the people of Vanreth, leading to Golden Flower being defacto with little chance of it changing for trading purposes. This combined with them supplying sometimes massive settlements with goods is a great gold maker.
Golden Flower deals with multiple local and outsourced craftsmen and artisan guilds for the supplies it runs. Local farmlands and various distilleries sell to Golden Flower at low cost but in bulk, and Golden Flower transports perishable goods through Cold Boxes. Before Cold Boxes, Golden Flower had more stations throughout Requiem - though a few of these have been sold off to become store fronts rather than full guild halls and distributors.
