Blood Hunter

Blood Hunters are a unique Vanrethian tradition for monster hunting and adventuring, though one that has fallen to the wayside. Blood Hunters were within different orders and when one wished they could take on orphan serfs and train them, as was Vanrethian law, to keep monsters from taking over settlements. Since the rise of mercenary culture many Blood Hunter orders have died, leaving most of their fortresses, training camps, and schools as ruins. There are few left that still practice.

Historical Blood Hunters

• Corvrain was a mysterious Blood Hunter who wandered the south in modern times. Most recently he was known to have assisted the group in Spireflat years ago, but now has gone on to hunt monsters in western Vanreth. 
• Juliana Rainlash was a human Blood Hunter during Vanreths early years. Many songs were written of her exploits, including the battle that saw her killed outside of Old Iron fighting a strange man in full black plate and a helm in a skull like visage. 
• Henn Redfist was a human Blood Hunter who was marooned in Bastion during the War of the Dragon. Henn would be known as the Bastions Blade, as he journied outside the fort to keep it supplied and strike blows against the Dragon.
