Ardent Adventuring Guild

Ardent is an adventuring guild known for its high expectations and high cost. They work primarily with government bodies or nobility, and their adventuring bands are heavily vetted before being fully signed on. Ardent promotes themselves as a high end form of monster hunting and dungeon clearing. Those jobs will be done quickly, with little to no collateral, and by professionals. This reputation has formed over 6 years of consistent work with few complaints and some extremely aggressive PR.    Ardent was originally a band called "Ardent Guard" working for Vanguard. However, a mistake in contract management saw Ardent Guard taking on a chimera in High Spear that they were in no war prepared for, seeing all but Marion "Clean" Tame killed. Marion would leave Vanguard with a payout from them for the mistake, and spend a year and a half investing the gold in various businesses throughout the Hilt and the Hastlands. In 439, Ardent would be announced as a new adventuring guild with a handful of well known Vanguard and Talon bands already signed on - specifically some very respectable ones with high cost contracts. In particular, Hammerbound from Vanguard who had claimed to have "gone solo" half a prior became the premier face of Ardent.    Ardent would spend the first couple of years painstakingly recruiting and training. In particular, they would gain a community reputation for high standards for full signing. The process of exiting Ardents probationary and training levels is very long and extremely gruelling, with Ardents trainers and recruiters expecting near perfection on tasks. This would pull adventurers away, if it weren't for the pay being significantly better - a product of being run by prior guild adventurers rather than adventurers who ran without guilds.    Ardents guild members are not truly ranked. They have guild leaders, guild trainers, guild members, and then recruits/trainees. Recruits handle jobs for little to no pay, specifically jobs that have little coin offered or are close to expiring, while guild members are assigned jobs from guild leaders.    Now they have cornered the market on high end adventuring and mercenary work.    Ardents logo is a capital A encompassed by a flame.
