The Flying Land of Aeschernon
Purpose
The book was penned to document what life was visible by telescope at the rim of Aeschernon, and to theorize what lives up beyond view, and to document what whether could be seen interacting with the island to determine climate. A lot of the book remained in theory and how life was able to be sustained in a new ecology.
Impact
Ecological
The book discussed ecology in a very rational and understanding way, although most of it was rooted in theoretics. Academia for a century debated over the merits of the approach, one camp staking that the book stood as good insight for how to approach ecological studies on Earth, and others claiming that since it involved mere conjecture about a foreign land, that it couldn't reliably be used as a bases for study.Superstition & Belief
Many believed that the island represented and omen, especially by the magical anomalies that it uniquely caused. This book in part began to demystify the island's meaning as "just another land similar to our own." As a result, it renewed scientific fascination in the island, but this time with unmatched enthusiasm.Document Structure
