Ash was taken from her family when she was 3 years old. Trained to be an assassin from a young age by The Daughters of Syva, an assassin-cult dedicated to the Queen of Blood, Syva. Granted the use of blood magic, she became an extremely efficient assassin. Fearing an attempt to gain power, the leader of the Daughters betrayed Ash and let her be captured by a rogue political group in Askelia . Taken to Ghyr Maeruth, Ash was subject to a number of sorcerous and alchemic experiments to erase her memory and give her more physical strength. She retained these effects but the process was lost when the secret laboratory was attacked by the Daughters. Presumed dead, and against typical Daughter practices, she was left in the laboratory. Awoken when a volcano eruption started destroying the laboratory, she was found running by a Pyromancy tribe, she was given the name Ash and began the process of looking for answers.
