Speak Languages- Special Skill
Speak Language (None; Untrained)
Retries: NA
Requires: None
- Learn Language: Use may use skill points to learn languages. All characters start with Common and a single bonus language determined by their starting culture. You do not get other bonus languages (other then those gained by class such as druidic). For each INT modifier they have above zero (not counting magical bonuses), they can learn another language. Doing so cost skill points. You cannot exceed your INT in bonus languages (those beyond the first two you learn) unless you take the epic feat polygot. If you want to learn a language but don’t have ‘room’ you may simply ‘neglect’ one you’ve already learned and remove it from your list to make room for the new one. You must pay the full cost in skill points. You do not gain skill points back for a neglected language.
- Become Literate: Spend 2 skill points to learn to read and write if you do not already know such.
- Learn Dialect: If you know the base language, you can understand the basics of a dialect. Learning the dialect allows you to full understand what is written or said.
