Lerie’a Nia Glir Anat Dur

The elven Calendar begins with the day known as Lerie'a Nia Glir Anat Dur. Which translates to "When the Freedom of our Song overcame Darkness". This supposedly marks the day that Corelleon lead the Elves and other humanoids in the overthrow of the Giants. The actual facts of this event is likely very different from the legends. But this serves as an agreed upon date for historic patterns. 
This day marks the start of the Elvish Calendar, which is used for dates prior to Treaty Day (and used for all dates by High Elves).
