Elen Mir Othrund (The City that treasures the stars)

Location: Northern Continent.
Alignment: Neutral to Chaotic Good

This small enclave of High Elves have resided there for ages. Once part of the Aldare Phaya Empire, Elen Mir has been isolated for centuries. It has few visitors and the little contact they have with their brethen is through magical communication or transport. Located atop a small mountain top surrounded by an ancient forest there is little to bring visitors or raiders to the area. Easily defended and hard to get to, few would bother to attack such a place. 

Unlike most elven communities, this one is built into the craggy top of the mountain. Magically shaped stone retains its natural color. The place looks like a strangely smoothed out and flowered covered mountain top. Home to a less than two thousand elves and a few other creatures, the city feeds itself from some terraced gardens and from the gifts of the forest and river below. Elen Mir once served as an observatory and college interested in studying the stars, astrology, and travel between worlds. A few experts continue this work, building upon the accumulated knowledge of ages stored there. It is the foremost place to go to learn about such subjects. 

Elen Mir also contains a large temple to Corelleon. Its priests and priestess are said to have direct contact with powerful beings of the Eladrin Court.
