Barbarian Barbarians are common throughout the world, in both primitive societies and along the fringes of just about every area.   HD: d12, Class Skills: (6+INT): climb, craft, handle animal, intimidate, jump, knowledge nature, knowledge martial lore, listen, ride, survival, swim, spot.

  • Weapons and Armor: simple and martial weapons, light and medium armor and shields (except tower) for the region.
  • Fast Movement: unnamed bonus to land speed when in medium armor or less and not carrying a heavy load.
  • Illiteracy: don’t automatically know to read and write common unless they spend 2 skill points. This is a change from 3.5 where taking another class allowed you to learn to read for free. You now must spend the two skill points.
  • Rage: as swift, 1/encounter gain +4 STR, +4 CON, +2 morale bonus to Will saves, -2 penalty to AC. While raging can’t use CHA, DEX or INT based skills (except balance, escape artist, intimidate and ride), concentration, cast spells or activate magic items that require spell trigger or spell completion, can’t use combat expertise. Rage asts 3 + new CON modifier. You may end it sooner as a free action, after a rage ends the barbarian is fatigued until the end of the encounter.
  • Uncanny Dodge: retains DEX to ac if flat footed or if attacked by invisible foe (but not if immobilized).
  • Damage Reduction: Reduce the amount of damage suffered from a physical attack such as a weapon damage, natural attacks, or falls.
  • Bonus Rage Feat: you gain a bonus feat from the list of Rage Feats, you must meet all requirements.
  • Improved Uncanny Dodge: can’t be flanked, can only sneak attacked when flanked by rogue if the rogue’s total levels of classes that provided at least +1d6 sneak attack, exceed the barbarians total number of classes that provide uncanny dodge by four.
  • Greater Rage: when raging now gain +6 bonus to STR and CON and a +3 bonus to will saves.
  • Indomitable Will: +4 bonus on will saves vs. enchantments.
  • Tireless Rage: no longer are you fatigued after raging.
  • Mighty Rage: when raging now gain +8 bonus to STR and CON and a +4 bonus to will saves.
