Rack Hammerbrace

Blacksmith (Expert +5) at Savah's Armory.   Although both Dwarves that work with Savah are experts in their trade, Rack's craftsmanship is by far superior.   Once a Berzerker for his clan before a horrible defeat at the hand of grotesque Hill Giants that left him broken and near death. Rack was rescued from a band of Darklands slavers whom had scooped his battered body, nursing him back to health as they trekked through the Mana Wastes towards their ultimate goal.   The slavers misguided attempt to ransom a clanless warrior to the provenance that is the dwarven Sky Citadel of Dongun Hold left them furious and spitting fire at the gates to the stronghold.   Luckily for Rack, a plucky young adventurer would stand up for her belief. Savah Bevaniky was apprenticing with the Clerics of the Anvil in her downtime between scouting contracts, and was witness to a fair-too-common plight in the southlands.   A free spirit from the far lands of Varisia, Savah's moral fiber and strong will were always her defining features; a person unable to watch the oppressive and cruel nature of Darklanders without making her voice heard.   Frustrated with their, now worthless, dwarf the slavers were in the middle of taking their rage out on their considered property, when a 20-something olive-skinned Varisian woman confidently strolled up and demanded they stop their abuse - a command the caligni did not take too kindly.   They very soon learned to heed Savah's words though. The confrontation didn't resolve much, but the slaver caravan moved on shortly thereafter, leaving a bound and beaten Dwarf behind in their wake.   Feeling like she was now responsible for the clanless Dwarf, and Rack feeling like he owed Savah his life, the bond was quick and quiet - an unspoken promise to look after eachother.   Savah, a crafter at heart, pledged to find them a forge to helm after she concluded her work in Garund.
