Adordronism

Origin

Adordronism is an anti-theistic religion originated from the Adordronic Democracy. The Adordronics don't know who or what created the universe, the world, or them. They just believe that there is a real deity, referred to as Dordroni, that is trying to destroy their world.

Core beliefs

Adordronics believe in systematic creation and destruction. Everything needs to be done a certain way for something to be lasting. The Dragonborn believe creation is bottom-up and destruction is top-down. Meaning that you build complex things from smaller simple things and that destruction ultimately is reducing complex things back to simple things before completely removing them from existence. Dordroni abides the systematic destruction. Dordroni would for example seek to destabilize higher orders of organization before trying to destroy the individuals.
The official term for this religion is Adordronism, but this is mostly used by non-believers. Believers don't have a need for their religion, they feel it is so ingrained in their existence that it goes without mention. The believers see the non-believers as victims of Dordroni. They believe Dordroni managed to destabilize the cohesion of the faith to the individual. They don't blame the individual and thus apostasy is considered pitiful.

Exercising beliefs

The core exercise of this religion is to create and collaborate. By creating things you are opposing Dordroni, especially when creating things beyond the capacity of the individual. The Dragonborn may also believe in other lesser deities or higher powers but these are usually considered in service of or in opposition of Dordroni. They consider every other deity worshipped by the other peoples as real potentially deities but again, either in service or opposition to Dordroni.

Rituals and traditions

They don't have houses of worship, they don't have shrines or holy places. They do have rituals. The main ritual is a ceremony of thanks, it is performed with every creation. This ritual can be as small as a moment of reflection before a meal to become aware of the work that has been put in, from the growing of the ingredients to the serving of the food. Or it can be as big as a grand opening to a city hall or bridge, honoring those who put in their work and creativity.

Affiliation

Adordronism is mainly practised in the Adordronic Democracy, home of the Dragonborn. Most other races aren't really drawn to Adordronism. Only the Gnomes seem interested in it, albeit mostly as a bigger context for their own religions.
