Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Taktar is smaller and less muscled than his Bugbear counterparts, but that does not make him weak or any less fearsome.

Specialized Equipment

Taktar wields a spiked whip with great efficiency and effectiveness.  He is rarely seen without it at his side, or curled around his neck and shoulders.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Taktar was born over 90 years ago, and was quickly identified as a canny and fierce warrior. His size was smaller than his counterparts, but he was very opportunistic and able to put himself in favourable positions often, giving him the upper hand.   He rose through the ranks in the Horde, establishing himself as a leader early on. It was not surprising when he evolved into a Bugbear 40 years ago. He made sure to ingratiate himself to those in power, and was not afraid to play a long game. Some say that he convinced Tagrugg to assassinate Zentogg, the leader prior to Melchinoopo, but no evidence was every laid against him, and the rumours died along with Tagrugg.   Taktar was successful in some military offensives near Golzect's Throne and subsequently caught the eye of Basselwip, the Ogre Warmaster of the Northguard Plains.  Basselwip summoned Taktar to join him in his army and quickly rose through the ranks to become Basselwip's main commander.  Taktar had a talent for training troops to be effective, efficient, and deadly.  It was no secret that even those much larger than him, even Ogres were put in their place when faced against Taktar's skills.   When Melchinoopo became leader of Golzect's Throne, it was with the caveat that Taktar would join him there to be the Horde caste leader.  Taktar made himself invaluable to the new Warmaster, particularly in the arena of war. Melchinoopo's strength was in relationships, and mercantile endeavours, not in tactics. Taktar assured Melchinoopo he could push back the Witch Queen's forces for a quick, early victory for the new Golzect's Throne leader.   In all his dealings with the other Warmasters, Taktar was ever loyal to Goblinkind, but made it quite clear that he was a warrior and could deal with matters decisively. Basselwip, in particular, was fond of the direction Taktar was leaning and was a vocal admirer of his skills.   When the Lord's Auction had completed and Melchinoopo returned, defeated and humiliated, Taktar stoked the ire and anger of his leader. It was not long before Melchinoopo declared his intentions to ruin the Road of Opportunity, leaving Golzect's Throne in the hands of Taktar.   Taktar became the first Bugbear to claim the title of Warmaster, and immediately set to gathering his forces for the upcoming war he wanted. He had the support of the other Warmasters to varying degrees. Basselwip wholeheartedly, Sargut with acceptance, Navandark with indifference, and Melchinoopo was happy to leave the leadership of the capital behind him.   Under Taktar's leadership Golzect's Throne has taken on a dangerous martial stance and war between the Goblins and the rest of the continent is imminent.
