Apotae Ya'ar
The leader of the Cithereth in northern Aspenshield. Translating directly to Forest Guardian, the Apotae Ya'ar is responsible for leading the Cithereth in their goal of protecting the forest and befriending the beasts there.
Qualifications
The Apotae must be strong in their beliefs of protecting Aspenshield, and creating allies with the beasts there. They are also responsible for ensuring the Platinum Bridge, the link to the Beastlands in Aspenshield, is guarded at all times.
There has only been one Apotae thus far, and he is getting old and near the end of his time. Those that he deems worthy of taking the title are few indeed.
Requirements
Only Elves who have devoted their lives to the cause of the Cithereth can qualify for this title. They must be bold, decisive, and show a fierce sense of independence. Those that appear to default to the Crystal Queen do not gain the favour of the current Apotae.
Appointment
The new Apotae Ya'ar, whenever it comes about, will be chosen by Eravan prior to his death. He has instructed his most trusted advisors of his favourites, should he pass before appointing the next Apotae.
Duties
The Apotae ensures the Cithereth are well-trained, prepared, stocked, and defended. They must provide support to their subordinates who are responsible for smaller groups under them. Their direct subordinates must lead smaller cells around the entirety of Aspenshield to protect and guard.
Responsibilities
The Apotae is responsible for selecting and maintaining the guardians of the Platinum Bridge.

History
The Cithereth was created in 326 PF when Eravan Sylvanwrath departed Aspenshield after having a disagreement with The Crystal Queen over her brutal and decisive action against the Azdurokian forces, and her disregard for the forest or beasts that were caught in her path. It took years from that incident before Eravan felt ready to depart and took a number of trusted followers with him to the north of Aspenshield. They all still remained loyal to the Crystal Queen in technical terms, but they followed Eravan and the path of the Cithereth in their daily actions.
Eravan declared himself the Apotae Ya'ar, the Guardian of the Forest, and has held the title ever since.
Eravan is getting very old and soon will be passing on his post to the next Apotae.
Cultural Significance
The Apotae has great significance for the Cithereth but holds no weight in any other location or organization. The charismatic appeal of Eravan has provided respect for himself more than the title itself.
