Odeus wakes and tames the primordial universe.
In the beginning there was chaos. All of creation was a swirling maelstrom of elements. Odeus, Firstborn and Father of the Gods wrestled the violent elements. He strapped the wildest elements together, and tied them down. Tired from the ordeal Odeus rested for seven days. And in Odeus’ dreams he conceived his children, the rest of the High Gods. On the third day of Odeus’ long slumber, Telera, Mother of the World sprung from the tethered elements. Impressed by Odeus’ strength she laid by him till he woke. When they woke on the seventh they were met by their children, and between them the people of the world were made. Unbeknownst to Odeus and his children, The Low Gods were also born in the dark shadows of creation. On the night of the seventh day Odeus had many nightmares, from these the Low Gods were born. As the High Gods crafted the peoples of the world, the Low Gods worked to undermine the world, trying to bend it to their will. Odeus made the metallic dragons, as well as the Dragonborn. And humankind, his image took their form so that they may love him. He and Telera conceived the Elves. They were divine in beauty, and one with nature. Ulm-Dolmar and his brother tried their hand at creation. Ulm-Dolmar created Orcs, and Grungjar the Dwarves. When they revealed their creations to each other they were both flattered to see the other had made theirs in their own image. Ganeshathena-Devata made the Loxodon, her children were wise and powerful just like her. Fel-Cathar made the Tabaxi, they were clever and quick. Morai-Tomaar made the little folk. Halflings, like little humans. And Gnomes, like little Elves. Asterus made the Minotaurs, headstrong and brave as the rising sun. Nixus, the Moon Goddess took great pleasure in crafting all manner of Fey creatures, taking inspiration from the Elves. Telera made all manner of flora and fauna, as well as Genasi and Tritons. She made Aeris by taking all the tethered elements and whirling them together. Then together, the High Gods made all the higher planes. Meanwhile in the deepest shadows, the Low Gods made the lower planes. While the High Gods were distracted with their work. The Low Gods began to seep their influence into Aeris. Giving the folk of the world vices and sin. Corrupting the fair flora and fauna. Making new terrible beasts to terrorize the new world. Devils and demons, abyssal monstrosities. Filling the lower planes with all manner of brutal creation. Lolth made her domain in the underdark, where she birthed the Drow. The chromatic dragons were born along with all the evil twisted beings imaginable. When the first mortal killed another from the influence of the Low Gods, a new god was born. Anu-Set, God of life and death. After his birth, he took the visage of a Jackal, also making the Canai in the process. And when the others mourned the first death, they wept together, held each other. And from their tears rose Lyra. Goddess of Love and all life’s delights. From creations mourning they learned love. But when the High Gods felt the loss, they turned upon the Low Gods and began to fight. The Clash of the Gods shook the Planes, and devastated entire continents.
