The cataclysmic battle between the High and Low Gods

The Clash of the Gods or War Before Time was the conflict between the High and Low Gods. Odeus led his children into battle. Odeus faced the Ashen Lord while his children took on the Low Gods. Odeus called upon all the good of creation, while the Ashen Lord summoned all the darkest. In the modern measurement of time this battle raged on for a week. The very planes shook, the sun, and moon both shone in a sky turned colors of red and purple from the sheer amounts of powerful energy being thrown throughout existence. The entire universe seemed to sing with the sounds of raging combat. Mortal men and dwarves faced demons beneath the feet of Telera as she fought Goratar. Dinosaurs fought Stormgiants as hail and fire rained down at the same time. Meteors smashed into Aeris’ surface, entire moons, planets and stars were flung around by the Gods. Planetars met swarms of pit fiends. Demon lords carved through men and elves like they were nothing. Together Ulm-Dolmar and Grungjar pummeled Lolth into Aeris’ surface, then Asterus used his hammer to knock a giant meteor into the hole. This caused a cataclysmic explosion. On that last day the clash between Odeus and Shl’ier was so violent that it caused the tethers between the plains to snap. All the Gods were blown away but one. Lad’Mie held the planes together in his mighty hands. When the dust finally settled the High Gods went to the upper planes, and the Low Gods to the lower planes. The High and Low Gods wait till this day till the next battle, preparing by influencing the material plane. There can be no doubt that if the Gods do go to war openly again. It would surely be even more cataclysmic. Also spawned from the battle were many unexplained forces that were catapulted into the aether. Their power is as unknown as they are… All folk lost all recollection of the Clash of the Gods, only later would the knowledge be rediscovered.
