Kari's war for independence
The Kari people mostly kept to themselves throughout the centuries, content under the Empire’s rule. But in 3366 they called for liberation. Unwilling to give up their trading posts there, the Empire tried to suppress independence movements, leading to the Red Rebellion. Named for Kari’s rebel flag originating from a flag covered in blood that was flown during the rebellion’s first victory. The next 8 years were dominated by war. The Kari were a smaller force but they knew the land. And while the Empire had been ailing, it was nowhere near weak under the current Emperor’s rulership. Emperor Frixus IIV was known as “The butcher” for his brutal tactics. But the war would end in the Emperor’s death in battle.
