Heinrich Schultz

Knight-Captain Heinrich “The Headtaker” Schultz is a living legend among the Forrester people and a towering symbol of their martial pride. Leader of the Order of the White Hart, Heinrich’s green-and-brown tabard is emblazoned with the stark white visage of a stag— though many claim the gleam of his moustache is more dazzling still.

Standing at six foot six, Heinrich is taller than most Forrester men, and his physical strength is matched only by his unwavering sense of duty. His signature weapon—a massive, rune etched battle axe named Oathcleaver—has become the subject of many songs and tavern tales. The weapon is said to have beheaded a minotaur in a single, clean stroke. While the other knights of the order favour precision, Heinrich brings sheer ferocity to the field.

Heinrich is known for his stoicism, rarely speaking unless absolutely necessary, and his words are often sharp as the edge of his axe. Yet behind the grim demeanour lies a deep loyalty—to his wife Imelda, a druidic healer of noble blood; to his king and kingdom; and to his order.

He rides a fearsome black warhorse named Midnight, said to be descended from the enchanted steeds of the deep woods. Midnight wears armour etched with the antler motif of the Staghelm knights, and together they strike terror into the hearts of enemies—an unstoppable wall of charging hooves and iron.

Tales of Heinrich’s battles are told across the Black Forest. The most famous is the Siege of Grimholt, where he led a midnight charge through undead lines, personally slaying the necromancer general and carrying his severed head back to camp.

His moustache—immaculately curled and oiled—is not just vanity. According to Heinrich, “A man’s face is his banner. Keep it glorious.”
