Azara Lenn
Azara Lenn – The Flame of the West
Appearance:
Azara is a striking woman in her early forties with an intense, commanding presence. Her skin is freckled, her features sharp, and her eyes the vivid green of emerald fire. Her most famous feature is her enchanted hair—normally a deep auburn, but when she casts spells, it ignites into a living flame that whips and crackles like a blazing banner. The magic doesn’t harm her, but few stand too close when it ignites.
Style & Personality:
Azara wears a long, fireproof cloak of blackened crimson, embroidered with old druidic knots that glimmer faintly with protective runes. She carries a carved ash staA tipped with obsidian, a focus for her fire spells. Despite her fierce magic, Azara is dryly witty, clever, and politically sharp. She believes fire is not inherently destructive—it is transformative, a purifier and a symbol of inner will.
Background:
Azara was born into a coastal clan on one of the lesser Emerald Isles. As a child, she showed little talent for traditional druidic magic, but her wild emotional outbursts often resulted in small bursts of flame. Afraid, her family brought her to a travelling mage who recognized her potential and paid her way into the Itinerant Guild. Azara has wandered ever since.
Magic & Legacy: Azara is known for using theatrical, explosive magic—her duels are as much performances as they are battles. Her favorite spells include:
- Firebrand’s Embrace – wrapping herself in flames that burn only her enemies.
- Blazing Sigil – a magical mark that explodes if tampered with.
- Phoenix Step – a teleportation spell that leaves a burst of fire in her wake.
She is also credited with inventing a spell called Wildflare, a chaotic flame burst that surges in unpredictable directions. It’s banned in most formal duelling circles due to its collateral risk.
Notable Deeds:
- Defeated a rogue warlock in the ruins of Caerban Keep by setting fire to an entire ring of undead cadavers.
- Held back a volcanic spirit attempting to possess a mountain temple, turning the spirit’s power back on itself.
- Survived an assassination attempt by agents of House Lepros, leaving the vampire assailants nothing but ashes.
