City of Dologost

The party visits Dologost to find scholars at the Great Library. They are in need of a translation from a very old language written on the Foxwood Scroll. They give the scroll to some people who can translate it, but they say it will take a number of days before it’s finished. In the meantime the party gets up to some fine shenanigans in the city whilst they wait for the translation to be completed.

Government

Dologost is the capital city of Ixios. Here the High King of Solima resides in the Great White Palace of Hallah'Dun. The High King has many officials that are in charge of different areas of economics, politics, defence, and law. Though Ixios is an absolute monarchy, where everything stops at his command, the High King prefers to to run his government like that of a constitutional monarchy, keeping his hands free of most of the political work and giving more authority to local ruling officials. However, the High King does retain absolute veto power over any area and can enact any law or security measure as he sees fit.

Defences

Dologost is defended by the Ixios army. Although Arvalean law states that no country or kingdom may go to war against another country of kingdom, Ixios has retained a very large army for its own safety and security. in the past there have been numerous civil wars and military disputes within the Soliman Archipelago, therefore each island has its own army, ready to defend at a moments notice.

Inspired heavily from water and oceanic themes. There are statues depicting heroes, kings, and mythological creatures, large fountains, and water features. Among some of the city’s attractions are the baths, the Great Library, the many gardens, and the theaters. Drama and the arts are very popular in Dologost. To the northwest area of the city, there is the Great White Palace of Hallah’Dun, where the High King resides.
