Shifter

Shifters are descendants of individuals with some form of lycanthropy. The disease which affected their ancestors flows in a subdued form through their veins. Shifters look nearly exactly like humans, but retain the ability to transform or "shift" slightly to give them traits and features in line with their ancient ancestor's hybrid form. Despite their ancestry, they are not lycans and can be subjected to lycanthropy as any other humanoid, though what effect this would have on their natural abilities is unknown.
