Theodore Radagon
Born into the Elven kingdom of Estel, Theodore "Teddy" Radagon grew up with a knack for the magical arts. As is tradition within Estel, Theodore (along with the rest of his peers) was exposed to a wide variety of magic as a child, allowing each child to find their "true calling" in terms of magical proficiency. With a focus on respecting and working alongside nature, the tutors and elders of Estel were thorough to impart as much wisdom as possible onto their pupils. As such, Teddy grew up with a vast amount of knowledge, both magical and historical. While many of those in Estel chose to delve more into the Druidic arts, working alongside the vast forests of their homeland to hone their magical skills, Teddy was always more interested in the vast power of the seas. Or, to be more precise... How to manipulate and control these seas, along with the mighty storms that centered around them.
Despite his earnest interest, Teddy's fellow elves were apprehensive about these ambitions. To the people of Estel, nature is something to be respected, their magic being a conduit for nature to flow freely through, a partner. It was not to be so harshly controlled and dominated, believing a desire to do so would only lead to darkness in the future. Despite the many attempts to change his mind on the subject, Teddy's ambition did not wane. And for this reason, when he was of-age, Teddy was cast out from Estel, setting off on his own to further his search for knowledge.
Throughout the following years of study and research, Teddy's vast wealth of knowledge only grew further, with him continually working to further develop his own powers. And during these years of study, a number of myths and legends about the seas came to his attention, with one in particular sticking out: Alexander Morgan's Last Gift. Being a remnant of the most legendary seafarer of all time, the myth had already appealed to Teddy. However, it's description, promising that whosoever wields this fabled treasure's wildest dreams would come true is what truly struck him with inspiration.
As such, Teddy began a search of his own, eventually tracking down an older Navy Commander who was said to have a lead on some part of the mythical treasure's whereabouts. While what happened next is still a mystery to most, regardless, it ended up with Teddy being arrested under charges of kidnapping, assault, and torture, eventually being brought upon a Royal Navy Prisoner's Ship, where he was thrown in a cell with three other prisoners. However, following a betrayal by one of the guards, Teddy was freed, and managed to escape with his new allies as the ship sank into the ocean's depths.
Deciding to stick together following their escape, Teddy and his new crew made their way to the island of Jahal, navigating their way through a perilous swampland and down towards the trading port of Jahal Cove, allying themselves with a Gatorfolk hunter named Slaw Greene along the way. Upon reaching Jahal Cove, Teddy was seduced by the Governor's secretary, a half-Yuan-ti woman named Peggy Marshall. Upon striking a deal with Governor Jacob Meade, the group disposed of some purple-robed cultists inside a volcano before coming face-to-face with a Mind Flayer, which delved deep into Teddy's mind, digging into his deepest insecurities and bringing up unpleasant memories of his past, nearly killing him before the timely arrival of Abraham Morgan.
Upon recovering and speaking with Morgan, and finding him to be the direct descendant of Alexander Morgan, Teddy and the rest of the party agreed to work alongside him, seeking to recover the many pieces of a fragmented map said to lead to The Last. Setting up in the mysterious hidden stronghold of Dublith temporarily, Teddy and the crew ran several odd jobs, including fighting off a group of mercenaries and recruiting an undead Elven woman named Ziaka. The crew soon came face-to-face with the figures in purple robes from the volcano again, this time having set up in a secluded cove outside of Creta, having kidnapped and experimented on several members of a nearby crew. While the crew was successful in saving many of the hostages, and in convincing one of the crewmen (a blind sharpshooter named Victor Price) to mutiny, the group was ultimately successful in completing their ritual, seemingly summoning a gigantic squid-like creature, which took the life of one of Teddy's crewmates as it fled.
Following this incident, the group began making plans for an infiltration of Kingsport, the Royal Government's capital, as a trusted source of Morgan's had received word of a gathering of the highest-ranked of the Navy's officials happening on Festivus, the last day the year. When preparing for this, the group ended up in the independent city of Waterdeep, where upon rescuing a pair of kidnapping victims, Teddy became the co-owner of Trollskull Manor, a once-great manor and tavern, which the group plans to rebuild. Following this, the crew captured themselves a Royal Navy ship, before engaging in a conflict with Viona Zarr's Sea Devils (one of the sea's oldest pirating groups) and the Royal Navy's 8th Division over a fragment of Alexander Morgan's fabled map. During this encounter, Teddy was pursued by Magent A. Windsor, one of the eight Admirals of the Royal Navy, and a man seemingly aware of the events that led to Teddy's incarceration. Having been narrowly saved by Morgan and Steady upon being captured, Windsor made some damning accusations towards Morgan, seemingly having a history of sorts (one which Teddy is yet to investigate).
With the map fragment recovered, the crew regrouped with Morgan and Steady, and upon attaching their fragments together, the group received a vision, seemingly showing visions of Alexander Morgan from nearly six hundred years in the past. Following this, with the plans for the Kingsport expedition fully laid out, the crew decided to enjoy one last night in Jahal Cove, entering another Fight Night. During his brawl with a Komodo Dragon, Teddy found himself on the losing end, nearly being killed before a blessing from Daedalus resulting in a vision of a strange watery figure, one who blessed Teddy with the power to overcharge his magic and defeat the beast. Following their fights at the bar, the crew accompanied Governor Meade in clearing out a gang known as the Skooma Divers from Town Hall, eventually putting an end to the gang, along with discovering signs of a group of thieves who had infiltrated Meade's vault in the meantime.
With his eyes still firmly fixed on gaining power for his own goals, Theodore has already made great strides in his endeavor for ultimate power. However, he knows better than anybody how far he has to go. And more than that, he knows he can't do it all by himself. But, with a crew invested in both opposing those currently in power, and in obtaining Alexander Morgan's Last Gift, good things are bound to happen so long as Teddy sticks with them... at least until the time is right.
