Lux Invictus, the first sentience, who was formed from the vibrations of the void before time and space, created the elements of the cosmos. Across unfathomable amounts of time, she guided them through formation, birth, death, and rebirth. Each cycle leeched a little more energy from the prime deity. Eventually, the clusters of dust that form near each other start to resonate together, sparking light, energy, and the first stars. These vibrations amongst nearby stars coalesce into their own sentience. They begin to energetically reach out and explore with infantile curiosity, and create more stars, worlds, and other celestial bodies. In all her play by creation, Lux Invictus had not noticed until too late that her energy was beginning to leak irreparably so, and her form began to come undone. Rather than allow herself to succumb to this outlook and risk sending out rippling waves of chaos across creation, she poured her remaining energy into the collection of new-star beings, further bolstering their power. As an unexpected result, she collapsed in on herself, forming a singularity. This created a passageway to a new extra-dimension; it was empty, cold, and dark. No thing has ever returned through that portal. With newly discovered depths of power, these beings could form more cohesive thoughts and developed their own personalities. Each of them was unique to the rest, and they started drifting towards other beings that provided mutual constructive resonance. As clusters formed, each of them now represented a dominion of influence on the cosmos. The groups started to separate from each other across the vastness of space to create their own realm. Our story focuses on the cluster that created Aeothrazel. Little is known about the fate of the other solar systems that originated from Lux Invictus. The entity that first rose to a higher consciousness names itself Celestian. With and in Celestian remains all and future knowledge of this realm. Celestian remains as an entity across all ages in the Aeothrazel timeline. Celestian saw both terrible and beautiful things beyond the comprehension of mortals. In an effort to keep the darkness and emptiness at bay, Celestian saw it necessary to call forth a being to be a guardian of the light this cluster was producing, and Pelor was born. Pelor routed some of the light to create a barrier around this new realm, protecting it from anything that might lurk beyond. With the light now having a shepherd to guide it, the creation energies became more efficient as less of them would leak out into the dark void. With boundaries in place, the environment was set for creation to expand. Celestian saw the importance of cycles and time. Therefore, the duality and concept of life and death was created and manifested in the twins, Heironeous and Boccob. With Heironeous channeling life forward, and Boccob recycling the decaying energy through death, the cosmos began to stabilize and evolve more quickly. To further amplify and stabilize their growing influence, Celestian created Gond help maintain the forges of creation. There were now five sentient forms in this system, all wired by residual energies from Lux Invictus which fueled their intrinsic motivations of creation and curiosity. These gods began to form a new type of creation: more solid surfaces such as planets, comets, asteroids, and moons, but they lacked beauty and intrigue. These were the first celestial bodies without a sentience. Heironeous used his energy to create Ehlonna, who would make those bodies beautiful with nature and animals - colors, harmony, and peace. Boccob, in turn, manifested St Cuthburt, who would be a counterpart to Ehlonna; St Cuthburt ruled over the sea and everything terrifying about nature: storms, lightning, fire, earthquakes and tornados. This pair became known as The Cousins. This was not conflict or opposition, but balance. Celestian, perhaps in spite of her wisdom, grew bored of the balance, and created Olidammara, the god of secrets and trickery, who would act as the variable which gave life its intrinsic value, separating life from the mechanical nature of the void and the predisposed nature of gods. The gods, now eight, began to bring forth new levels of creation as life developed on these planets, and the first intelligent and sentient beings that had no divine powers of their own were born. And thus the races were born from the stardust of gods. Without this inherent divinity, their life cycles were exponentially quicker than other beings, increasing the cosmic tempo. To ease the passing of time, Pelor created Selûne to oversee twilight and govern the night. Each God had created their own race on a separate planet. As the races began to grow - each on their own planet. Heironeous and Ehlonna provided them with shelter, resources, and companions, while Boccob and St Cuthburt filled the worlds with predators, disease, and disaster. And yet, there was still balance. Olidammara grew bored, and whispered to The Cousins, convincing each that the other was gaining ground, and that the balance would be in jeopardy if they didn't act. Ehlonna and St Cuthburt brought forth domains of Peace and War in Eldath and Kord. With the stakes of the balance rising ever higher, Olidammara revealed his plan; giving mortals his secret, The Secret: the arcane. And Aezoth The Consumer was born. The knowledge of The Secret sent the races mad; the balance was entirely lost for the first time. With energies pouring out uncontrollably throughout the system, Aezoth was able to feed. It swallowed up all things that it encountered. Many planets were lost. In an effort to stabilize, the deities gave their races a touch of divine power to fight back the onslaught of arcane influences, but it was not enough. As plants began to explode without the balance, gods rushed to shepherd their races to safety, while Gond shackled the great Beast that Aezoth had become, using its essence to created a planet to contain The Consumer and withstand the existence of The Secret. Out of that act was born Mystryl, who was appointed mother of The Beast, and could continue to tame the beast and provide the people with a safer access to arcane powers. And thus, through the great Harmonic Confluence, the gods came together with their people, and Aeothrazel was born; Pelor ruled over the day and Selûne the moon and night. The Gods arrived with their people, and the first day on Aeothrazel Dawned.
