The Short Court

The Short Court is a humorous term used to put down the rest of the members of court. The "Short" Court references to the lesser votes of the rest of the Lords and Ladies present. On the Short Court Guildmasters and Locality Leaders get two votes each while the twenty-two other Lords and Ladies present only get one each. This Court often confirms things previously discissed on the Long Court but also provides an opportunity for the members to bring up issues and needs for their lands, this often includes increasing security or discussing what the taxes will be this year. The Short Court also is needed to vote in new Advisors as well as new Locality Leaders. For certain events committees will be formed and voted on during the Short Court. Short Court meetings are always open to the public.
