"Crimson Wedding"
Anders attended the wedding of Elena Barden and Darius Larrion. At one point he shared a drink with Baron Larrion and Harold Barden, an interaction which created a tense environment at the ceremony as Anders behavior implied he may have poisoned the drinks, though this was just a power play by Lord Doran. He fled quickly after the massacre began. At the weekly senate meeting the next day, he attempted to have Lord Larrion removed from the throne, citing that after his son's death the night before, he may not be emotionally capable of ruling a city. Ultimately a senate vote kept Lord Larrion on the throne, but Anders was pleased to see how close the vote was. Later he went to deliver fresh bread to House Qraw and to offer his condolences for the loss of one of the families distant relatives at the wedding. When Samuel Hawthorn, the assistant court mage of House Qraw, answered the door, he gave the bread to him and had a brief, uncomfortable conversation, taking a particular interest in Samuel's pet owl, stating that it looked very familiar.
