Patron of torturers, The Fury was not always the wrathful creature that she is now. Once she was a might Solar in the service of Gelruunadon, his domain shaping her almost avian features to be the perfect airborne hunter.
Centuries ago during one of the tumultuous wars between the forces of good and evil, one of the Fell gods was finally brought low by the forces of good. However this was before the Rites of Banishment were uncovered by the great Myratha during the third age. This left some uncertainty between the forces of good as to what would be done with the dead god. If left alone he would eventually reform from his followers devotion and this could not be left unattended for long. The Solar's solution was to merge her essence with the dead gods divine spirit in the hopes that the two opposing forces would either eradicate each other or at least cancel them out in a state of neutrality.
She survived the merging but did not realise that the dead god had also. They bided their time, regaining their strength until they felt they would be strong enough to overcome the bestial angel. Eventually she came to realise the growing evil inside of her would eventually consume her from the inside out. She fled to Pandemonium and, with the last of her strength, completed a binding that would tie her physical form and her divine essence to the chaotic realm. With this act of defiance the dead god began to wrestle control of her body from the solar and over the next ten long years would enact a terrible transformation upon her body. She became a mockery of her former form as her skin became a pallid white and the spattering of feathers across her form twisted into jagged spines of blackened bone. From her feathered head a single, serrated horn curled into existence, shredding her eyes to pieces as it wrapped around her face. Her forearms split from the elbow down giving her four arms to wield her now shattered morningstar held together by dark energy and the bladed whip formed by the dark gods twisted desires. Her feet snapped and twisted into vicious talons while one of her wings melted together as if drowned in burning pitch. The other was torn asunder to be replaced by three articulated spines as long as her body is tall. The final change was a monstrous beak busting from her mouth with two insect-like mandibles on either side of it.
The agony of this ten year torture drove the now goddess mad from pain. It is said that It was her agonising screams and the furious beating of her wings that gave birth to the maddening winds of Pandemonium causing any who spent too long within them to follow the blind goddess into madness.
The Fury now wanders that desolate plane torturing the few unfortunate travellers who find themselves there. She hopes that someday she will find a way to escape her binding and believes that those she tortures hold the keys to her salvation.
