Mount Celestia

Mount Celestia is an outer plane that is the embodiment of Lawful good.   It is one impossibly large mountain that stretches infinitely across itself but is scalable upwards. The base of the mountain is surrounded by a never ending sea of Silver water that has the same benefits as holy water. The mountain is home to those who died living good and honest lives, many Paladins see Celestia as their final resting place. The mountain is also home to several celestial entities such as Archons, Devas, Planetars, even a few Solars, and a few other celestial creatures as well. Celestia is known as the seven heavens because it has seven layers to it. Climbing these layers takes a strong body and even stronger soul for both the living that are visiting this world and the dead souls that live among it.   Lunia   Lunia the first layer, is known as the Silver Heaven. In a perpetual state of a calm night, this is the first layer a soul would emerge be it living or dead. The night sky is littered with bright stars that give off a silvery glow and reflect perfectly into the sea below them. The sea itself is fresh water, safe to drink, and has the effects of holy water as well. At certain locations on this layer, Portals to Arcadia and Bytopia can be found. It is believed that the waters of Arcadia that seemingly have no source actually comes from the Silver Sea here.   Mercuria   Mercuria is the second layer of the mountain. When ascending into this layer the sky begins to change gradually into a soft sunrise with a golden glow that cascades the entire layer. The terrain changes to rolling hills covered in lush green grasses. Here is where Celestia keeps its armories dotted across its stretch. The souls of warriors and fighters make this layer their resting places. Settlements from Archons and other good beings dot this layer. It is also very common to see tombs of great fallen warriors throughout.   Bahamut's Jeweled Palace is known to travel between the first four layers. With walls made of Mythril, windows made of great gems, and the inside containing the entirety of the great dragons hoard. Seven great Wyrms guard it and will occasionally humor the warriors fo Mercuria in a dual.   Venya   The third layer known as Venya, is called the Pearl Heaven. The layer is colder than most of the others but not so much to where you begin to shiver and the sky turns to a soft white like a pearl. With sloping hills throughout the stretch seeing them covered in lush green with an abundant of growing crops or a luster of soft snow is not uncommon. Peaceful brooks and terraced fields make this a calming and relaxing place for many.   Solania   The layer sometimes called the Electrum heaven or Solania is the fourth layer. Its sky is that of a burnished silver and its grounds are covered in a mist that omits pleasant scents of every kind. Unlike the layers before, this layer has a more rocky and rough terrain. Dotted throughout are magnificent cathedrals and monasteries that are protected by angelic hosts. throughout its stretch though it is not uncommon to find smaller and more personal shrines set up by individuals in small alcoves of the mountain. The slopes here are rich in gems which combined with the rocky terrain make this an ideal place for the souls of Dwarves to make this their final resting place.   Mertion   With a sky not too different from the one before, the fifth layer is called Mertion. It's as if the mountain above you completely changes into a massive and majestic citadel. Sitting at the top of this Citadel is a large black dome like structure that you have to climb before reaching the next layer. Outside of the citadel are flat plains and vast savannas. This layer is home to many of the Paladins that are lawful good, the citadel is where they continue to serve their various gods.   Jovar   Upon reaching the sixth layer after climbing the dome of the citadel in the fifth, you emerge into a cave called Jovar. The heaven of gems is so rich in them that the ground seems to be studded with them. This entire layer is actually a vault lined floor to ceiling with huge garnets and rubies that give off a glow like a fire. Inside the cave is a massive seven layered Ziggurat with a staircase on each face connecting each layer. The stones that make up the ziggurat are made of cut gemstones similar to those that line the cave. Inside it seems as the though the ziggurat is never ending. Within are scores of angelic warriors that protect it and do not allow any soul to enter as they guard the entrance to the final layer.   Chronias The final layer and peak of Mount Celestia is called Chronias. It is known as the Illuminated heaven and not much else is known about it other than faith as no one who has been able to go up it has ever come back down. It is believed that this layer is the plane itself, the heart of the mountain if you will. It is said that it is so good that any hint of evil or neutral would be burned from your soul leaving you inherently good if you survived. You would then meld with the plane itself in an ultimate state of rest and nirvana. Many people choose to believe that Bahamut the one and only platinum dragon is the heavenly host of Chronias. Many of the souls living among Celestia believe that it is their ultimate goal for everyone on the mountain to one day gain the right to enter the layer and be one with it.
