Bytopie

Bytopie or the Twin Paradises, is an outer plane that bordered between lawful good and neutrality.
Bytopie is a plane that consists of two layers, to call one as the top and the other the bottom would be a misnomer. There is a barrier that is around 10 miles in the air that connect the two layers. When standing on one layer or the other, gravity functions as normal. Crossing the barrier, would cause you to suddenly fall seemingly up towards the other layer. The land on both sides consists of mostly mountain ranges, the valleys between them, and various canyons. The mountain ranges like to converge at various points where there will be a large summit. While the mountains and valleys are not parallel between the two layers, there are always two large summits that connect at the barrier. A skilled and careful climber would be able to scale the summit in order to reach the other side.
The lucky adventurer may come across a special spring of water that could be in the middle of a forest, inside a mountain cave, or at the bottom of a canyon. These pools of water are often fantastically colored and seem to glow with a radiant energy. It is said that submerging one's head in the spring will allow them to see a future of good luck casted upon them. However, upon leaving the spring it will dry up within an hours' time and there will be no sign that it was ever there.
On one side of the plane, the climate changes from a warm summer into a windy fall. The other half of the plane switches between a snowy winter and a blooming spring. The air between the two is open and vast with a sun that seemed to glow a brilliant white light and a moon that was always full. A common practice between layer neighbors, one each side of the barrier, is to make a wicker basket with a makeshift hot air balloon attached. The baskets might have a letter or a friendly gift like baked goods that they would send over to one another.
The animals in the plane are sentient with an average intelligence or even slightly higher but they do not have the ability to speak. Certain swaths of trees are also intelligent but unlike the tree Ents, they do have the ability to move on their own. The usual collection of Celestial beings occupies this plane as well as many common people that either decided to pilgrimage to this plane to live or stumbled upon it and decided to stay. There are by no means any cities, towns, or even villages, it seems that most of the people who ended up here enjoy their privacy beyond a friendly neighbor that could offer a helpful hand occassionally. Bytopie is also home to many of the more monstrous and/or territorial creatures and beasts. The common rule of the land however is that if everyone keeps to themselves and doesn't go out of their way to attack one of the other factions, then there won't be problems; this is a rule understood by most.
