Bróðurhvíl

The heavy heart in silence lingers,
Here at the mound where my brother rests,
The flowers beckoned me forward,
For my dear brother's body here,
Shall never move again.   Memories kindled, my heart filled with sorrow,
Upon this mountain peak, where dark soil lies,
In the realm of thoughts, my spirit laments,
To greet one who wanders long without a home.   From the blue sky, the sun has fallen,
So too shall I be fallen and away now,
It burns within my chest, bright memories,
This stone itself, where my brother now rests.   Long were those joyful hours,
With you, my brother, burned away so quick,
Bound in blood, igniting chaos, toasting high,
Your thought wounds my heart.   But by yearning's heat, encounters in dreams;
Where the fog of death unveils,
At this mound, this sacred place,
The memory of you, my friend, forever lives.
