Overdeity
The ambassadors of the Outsider
An overdeity is an entity that exists beyond the usual classification of deities, being even beyond the very concepts of good and evil, or law and chaos, and consequently of their alignment. They act as ambassadors for the Outsider, creating whole cosmological ensembles with their immense power. Our crystal sphere, its Primordial Essence and everything that exists originated from one of these overdeities, an overgod named Ael.
Each crystal sphere houses one, and only one overdeity. However, after the Bond, other realms joined ours, bringing with them their own overdeities. Today, in addition to our original overgod, Ael, are known some overdeities that came from the forgotten realms, such as Lord Ao, Chaos, Nun, and Dao, as well as many others less known.
In the divine hierarchy, all deities, even those whose domains are in the most different planes and spheres, must respond to their original overdeity, and to the overgod of our realms, Ael. The overdeities, besides responding to The One Above All, submit only to the Outsider, their creator.
Within their domains, the overdeities are responsible for deciding which ones remain, are elected, or demoted as deities. No mortal can become a deity if not by the approval oh its overdeity. In the same way, the overdeity can reduce even the most powerful entity to nothing, according to its will. Some say that the resurrection of dead deities is an action of these overdeities, although nothing has been proven or observed.
However, overdeities rarely engage in the affairs of deities, acting only as observers and ensuring that the cosmological laws are followed. As for mortals, overdeities generally prefer to stay away, or even keep their existence in secret.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
It is not known exactly how far the true extension of the powers of an overdeity. However, they are believed to be unlimited, and can even surpass the abilities of all deities combined. It is also known that all the overdeities of the realms submit to the power of the overgod Ael, but are not sure whether by choice, respect to the creator of our crystal sphere or really magnitude of power.
There was only one before the time existed, and after all, only the one remains. The Luminous Being, supreme father of all creation, with a single thought created the first living beings. He gifted each of these beings with the gift of creation, available in rocks of pure energy, and entrusted each creature with the mission of becoming one of its ambassadors. These beings are now called overdeities, and I, Ael, am one of them.- Ael, The Book of Ael
