Vaelthar
(a.k.a. The One True God)
The Sacred Order of the Luminous Path teaches that Vaelthar is the sole creator of all existence, embodying purity, light, and righteous conquest. According to official doctrine, Vaelthar revealed himself almost two hundred fifty years ago to the citizens of The Valtareth Imperium, bestowing divine truth and exposing how the world had been led astray by false deities. This revelation became the foundation of the Imperium's meteoric rise to power and its ceaseless justification for warfare and expansion.
The doctrine maintains that all who oppose Vaelthar are agents of chaos and darkness who must be subjugated or destroyed. Other pantheons and deities worshipped throughout the kingdoms are denounced as lies, imposters, or corrupt fragments of Vaelthar's original divine essence that became twisted through arrogance and defiance.
The Imperium's Holy Scriptures contain elaborate accounts of Vaelthar's descent from the heavens and his divine covenant with the Imperium's people. These sacred texts outline how the faithful must undergo the Trial of the Unworthy – proving themselves through conquest, unwavering faith, and absolute obedience to both their god and emperor.
Every aspect of the religion's theology is carefully constructed to legitimize imperial expansion and crush dissent, positioning the citizens of the Imperium as Vaelthar's chosen children destined to rule over lesser nations in his name.
Official paintings and descriptions in the holy texts portray Vaelthar as a golden glowing man with arcane markings and a benevolent expression. It is said that he occasionally visits the High Priests and the Emperor to relay his wishes for converting the world to the one true Faith.
