Not sure what to do about my feelings. I need to talk to Zyrelle, but not with anyone else around. At least not in easy hearing range. I need to confess the gift was from me. And I need to ask if she'd be willing to attempt more than a friendship, even if it really wouldnt go anywhere due to familial duties. I hope this doesnt turn out as bad as my imagination is making it.
I'll see if I can talk to her at lunch one day. First the confession and why, then any potential relationship after that. Assuming my mouth doesnt say something stupid. I'll definitely have to tell her the gift wasnt meant to hurt her in any way. Not sure I should mention Arya gave me that info. I don't want to damage any friendship those two may be building.

Dear Uncle,
I have some advice I need about.... relationships. I really like one of the other students in my age group. I'm not sure how to let them know. It was easy to make friends, but I think I may have, no, I do have stronger feelings than that. I just recently gave her a birthday present... which was anonymous. I'm not sure how I will handle things if my interest is rejected.
I know you and I are not the closest, but I don't really know what to do without getting flustered and looking stupid.

I just realized I'm watching Zyrelle Duskbane alot. Not in a suspicious way. I just keep catching myself looking at her and thinking about her.
OK, I'm going to find out what kind of stuff she likes and maybe get her a gift. Maybe that will settle my mind.
Letter to mother on my 15th birthday

Hello Mother,
I hope all is well with you. Arya and I hope to see you soon. Once we graduate I plan on visiting you. I miss you. It's hard to remember things from before Oathwatch.
We... found something a couple of years ago that we haven't told anyone about. I can not go into anymore detail than that. It feels important and could affect more than just a few people.
I can not wait until I can see you. Uncle Osric is polite and appears to be carrying out his duties. He gives me advice on things, but I don't know him well enough to blindly trust him.
I have been studying Modern History and I think I understand why the Silver Pact was formed and why it failed. I haven't figured out how to fix things yet, but I will.

The HRHSG is formed

I believe the Princess is in danger. House Duskbane has been (in my own opinion) doing things to slowly take over since before the Silver Pact. I'm going to ask some of the other students, mostly of my age, if they are willing to lose a little sleep and help me keep watch on the hallways at night. Heh, if anyone wants a name for it, I'll call it "Her Royal Highness' Shadow Gaurd". I dont expect to be able to fend off an assassination attempt, but if we can act as a "tripwire" alarm for Her Royal Majesty's actual Body Gaurds, that might just be enough if something happens.
Vaelion's Suspicions
28th of Orwynn, 7259 A.V.
All the reading of Modern History and I think I know what led up to the Silver Pact (or what the blowhards call the Gilded Rebellion). I've taken over one wall of my room (4 of us in there, 4 walls, so one is mine) and have it set up with points of interest/history leading up to the Silver Pact. I believe I know who really instigated, if not outright manipulated the Pact into existence. Unfortunately it's all circumstantial with no evidence to back it up. Which means I cant accuse who I think it is without getting shut down and maybe executed for daring to accuse them.
Exploration and Investigations
16th of Lirias 7257 A.V.
I recall seeing some shadowy figures in the hallways that first night were were here. I will be learning all the ins and outs, in daylight and darkness, of these hallways (first, then the island itself) so that if something happens I can find my way or pursue without being totally lost.
Plus, it will be easier to target rooms of those out on visitation if I know where everything is. I can't wait until Rhaen Lysoria gets back and finds all his stuff out of place. I bet he looks over his shoulders for weeks!
I'll be a bit happier when the Brielle Drakemont leaves so that I can prank her as well. Not sure I want to mess with Torva Ironheart, she strikes me as someone that doesn't understand what a joke is, or a prank.
The more history I read, the more I think something bad is happening. I don't think my father joined the rebellion because he thought the King wasn't a good King. I think someone else is plotting against the entire royal family. To many things are happening that caused issue's which led up to the rebellion. Some of it was obviously set up to eliminate potential spoilers to whatever plans were in place.
I need a cork board, string and some finishing nails.... to many things to keep track of.

Dear Uncle Osric,
I'm sorry for the trouble I've caused. I honestly didnt think our Modern History Teacher would get upset about me switching his shoes out for a pair that was smaller. I'd have gotten away with it if he hadnt come into class looking like someone was force feeding him sour grapes. I couldnt stop laughing. I'll try not to upset him anymore. I plan on staying here at the Academy for this first trip home. I have alot of extra work to do in History now... strange how that works!

Hello Mother,
I've been trying to make friends with the Syltharis kids in the hopes they can tell me whats going on with you. I'm sure the only reason you haven't written back is some order from the King. I hope. Torva Ironheart seems to be nice, but she's a bit focused on being a military leader. While the Kingdom may need that, I don't. It's hard to talk to someone that turns everything into some kind of military thing. Arya managed to stay out of trouble the first few days. I wish you were here to ask questions when they occur to me. I'm not good at remembering what I was wondering about when I go to write it all down.
I miss you. I hope you get to write back soon.
First days at Oathwatch

Braeden Caerthall isn't good at hiding his emotions. Zyrelle Duskbane was surprised when some of us sat w her for meals. History, magic, classes, classes, classes. BORING. Yay! Weapon class is fun! Just not the big two handed things some of the big kids like.
OK, found an interesting class. Teacher of modern history is awesome! He'll answer ANY question.
Arya and Caelith snuck around and Caelith got caught and punished w kitchen duty.
Got a letter from uncle Osric. He mentioned some of the other potential students and who might be worth knowing.
