Rhaen Lysoria

Tall and lean with the characteristic Lysorian blue-gray eyes and jet-black hair worn in a practical sailor's knot, Rhaen combines his father's commanding presence with his mother's calculating intelligence. Unlike most young nobles who might spend years as junior officers before receiving command, Rhaen was granted his own vessel—the swift warship Tide's Vengeance—after displaying exceptional tactical brilliance during a skirmish with pirates at the tender age of sixteen during one of his rare visits home from Oathwatch Academy.
Rhaen's meteoric rise through the ranks of the Silver Fleet has inspired conflicting narratives throughout Eldoria. To the loyal sailors under his command and the merchants whose vessels he protects, he is a prodigy whose intuitive understanding of naval warfare borders on the supernatural. His ability to predict enemy movements and exploit weaknesses in their formations has led some to speculate that he possesses some form of divination magic, though House Lysoria firmly denies such rumors. To his detractors, particularly older naval officers who resent his rapid advancement, Rhaen is merely benefiting from family nepotism, his achievements exaggerated by propaganda designed to enhance House Lysoria's prestige.
The young man's relationship with his parents is complicated by his early success and independent streak. He respects his father's achievements and seeks to uphold the Lysorian naval tradition, but chafes under Lord Armand's continued scrutiny and reluctance to grant him full autonomy in his operations. With his mother, Rhaen shares a closer bond, having inherited her gift for strategy and network-building.
