Elves ("Children of Twilight")

Elves are an ancient people, their fey heritage woven into their very being. With long, elegantly tapered ears and an otherworldly grace, elves once ruled a vast empire spanning continents. Now, they are a people between ages—neither in their Golden Age nor in decline. Their history is marked by both triumphs and tragedies, and their future is uncertain.

The elven kingdom of Vaelthwyn remains a stronghold of elven culture, though its borders have shrunk over time. Elves are naturally attuned to magic, and many exhibit supernatural grace in both swordplay and diplomacy. However, their long lives make them slow to act, as they see the world’s troubles as temporary storms rather than cataclysms. Many elves today struggle with whether to intervene in the world’s fate or let it unfold naturally.

The elves are a proud and resilient people, but they face numerous challenges in the modern era. Their kingdom is threatened by encroaching human empires, and their ancient traditions are threatened by the passage of time. The elves must find a way to adapt to the changing world while preserving their unique identity and heritage.
