The Mantle of Immortality

The mantle of immortality is the law of eternal life. Any being bestowed with the mantle of immortality will never die of natural causes, although they are still susceptible to being killed. The mantle of immortality as well as all life first were created by God who originally bestowed upon the titans immortality. God then bestowed the mantle of immortality upon the deities.
God then relinquished his ability to grant immortality to a group of beings known as the Council of Immortals, which was ruled by the great god Ak. The council of immortals have the ability to bestow upon and rob the immortality from any being except for deities. For immortality to be granted or removed from a mortal, a unanimous vote from the entire council of immortals is required.
