Veil-Touched

The Veil seems to almost have a mind of it's own, and "chooses" people at random to give them the opportunity to connect to it on a deep level and to drink of it's power - a process not unlike a test if some kind, as if the Veil wants to see if you are worthy of it. Those who succeed become Veil-Touched, but those who fail are either very severely damaged or are never seen from again.
