The Dominion of Ondest
To call Ondest a strange nation to outsiders is an understatement. The mix of cultures, races, and religions make it an ever-growing mixing pot. The Dominion is collective of city states and unions all united under a shared banner of the dragon. The main religion of Ondest is a variation the Cult of Xozotz Gur, this is more common closer and in large cities.
Dragon imagery can be seen everywhere in the Dominion, it has stoked into almost every part of the culture. Dragon minor deities have become prevalent in the pockets of Itrizain faith and other religions.
Structure
The Medjay
The leaders of The Dominion are just as mysterious as the land itself. The nation is governed by a group of 5 individuals known as The Medjay . Medjay are not elected into the positions but appointed by the member that last held the position. It is extremally rare for a Medjay to be replaced, this is because the Medjay live an extremely long life. This life span is probably thanks to magical means. The 5 Medjay sit on a council that uphold decisions made by lower legislatures, enforce decision and handle the defense of the nation.
Each member if the Medjay handles a particular issue of the nation, one handles the managing of finances and the economy. Another the defense of the borders.
Religion
The Cult of Xozotz Gur
Despite referring to themselves as a cult, Xoin faith is an accepting and open religion. This is because of those that worship Xozotz Gur sees him as a primordial being that is responsible for the creation of the mortal plain. The cult teaches that the primordial dragon Xozotz Gur exists between worlds and wonders throughout creating new worlds in the form of an egg. This egg he then cares for till the time of the hatching, in this hatching everything is created. Xozotz watched this creation and before leaving the world to shape and grow he left a part of himself inside his first of kin, the elder dragons. The origins of the cult are in the north within the iron realm and is a fundamental part of Dragonborn belief and culture.

Legislative Body
Laws and legislation are written in by both the Junnsvi (Council) and the Council of Medjay.
Junnsvi writes and passes most laws in the Dominion but in order for a bill to be proposed, it must be sponsored by at least two Medjay. This has created a system that has the Council of Medjay holds a large amount of power while not being the main legislative body. The members of Junnsvi are more or less required to curry favor with as may Medjay as possible.
The Medjay are the higher legislative body and pass laws that have pursuant over those passed by the Junnsvi. The Medjay's power does have its checks, for legislation to be enforced it must pass the Junnsvi with a simple majority.
