Mekate Mother of None
Mekate’s name seems to strike fear in those who know nothing about her. However, Mekate is often seen as a benevolent goddess as she oversees burials and rites of passage. Her name comes from the fact that she is not responsible of the creation of any race or creator. Most likely her association with death comes from her union with Ystar. She is connected with the element of water and fog, both of which represent death in the Itrizain faith. He is pictured as a young woman with curled hair adorned with crystal beads holding a chalice or torch.
