Lusk
The second largest continental landmass on Aeia. Consisting of the Kingdoms of Talnia, Agdinam, and Zamamia, as well as the Principality of Shahia, Lusk is somewhat smaller and less diverse than its larger cousin, Amhara. Settled by the dragonborn in the third age, following the Tiamat Reformation, and assumed to be uninhabited at the time, the new Luskans, calling themselves Ziamites (which means 'true followers' in Iokharic), began settling the region. Instead of an uninhabited landmass however, they were surprised to discover a plethora of unique sentient humanoid races and species that were previously unknown to Amhara, including shapeshifters, kobolds, and a race of gnomes unique to Lusk who excelled in creating artificial lifeforms they call "warforged". These constructs may be the progenitors of the being known as The Shrike.
Geography
Lusk is largely forested, with some seperate regions of Taiga. It has both deciduous and evergreen forests, and its mountainous terrain makes for some breathtakingly beautiful vistas.
History
Discovered in the 2nd Age, quite by accident, by traders from the Islands of Lisea, sailing westward in search of new islands to bring into their democracy, the sailors nevertheless returned with tales too outlandish to be believed, and warnings never to set foot on the continent itself. This, of course, did not stop everybody. But almost everyone who set out to conquer the land for themselves failed to ever return. It became known as the Forbidden Continent. And cautionary tales of demons and devils and ghosts of Lusk became common children's bedtime stories.
After the Tiamat Reformation, a group of determined dragonborn set out en masse with the goal of creating an empire for themselves, dedicated to the ideas of their unholy goddess. Like the rest, they never returned to Amhara. But it is believed that, nevertheless, they were successful in their bid for religious freedom. From time to time, a sailing vessel will land in Stasdon from the west, bearing a single lone dragonborn, often an outcast or a child.
