Island nation located west of the Kingdom of Andor, across the Boundless Sea. It is home to seven distinct clans and is currently ruled by Shogun Kin'Saan Watari.

History

The nation of Harano is a small island nation located in the far reaches of the Boundless Sea. In the early days of Harano's history, the island was inhabited by a small group of indigenous people who lived in harmony with the land. Theclan samurai quickly established themselves as the dominant force on the island, establishing a feudal system in which they held sway over the local population. They brought with them their code of honor and bushido, which would come to shape the culture and society of Harano for centuries to come.

In recent years, House Watari has ascended as the dominant power on the island, with Kin'Saan Watari taking the title of Shogun, the military leader of Harano.

Political Structure

Harano is a feudal autocracy, with each of the seven clans vying for dominance. For centuries the clans have fought to a stalemate, a myriad patchwork of political alliances. In 160 KE, Kin'Saan Watari and the Watari clan achieved ascendacy, but the Shogun's hold is tenuous at best. Clan Kaiwabata is especially belligerent, and seeks to under Watari authority at every turn.

The seven clans flow like water, everchanging. All that is certain is that a clenched fist cannot hold them.
