The Sun King Cir slew Leotheric the Fool and founded the nation of Cireth, marking year 1 of the Cirethian Calendar.
With Leotheric the Fool slain, and the Undying's last vestige of power in the material plane gone, Cireth was founded as a bastion of light in a dark world. Cir gave each of his most loyal followers a province inside the empire for them to rule, and their descendents rule there to this day.
