Description: This terrible disease is the result of larval akatas being injected into the victim.
Trigger: once per hour.
Attribute: Strength. Danger: 6 + Stage.

Treatments

Submersion in or drinking of salt water cures 1d10 Severity.

Complications

This disease is actually an infestation of akata larvae. As long as the larvae survive, the Severity cannot be reduced except by magic.

Victim is Staggered as the larvae dig into the victim.

Stage 2

Severity: 8
A larva has begun taking root on the victim's brain. 1 Withering.

Stage 3

Severity: 15
The larva has taken root in the brain. 1 Confusion.

Stage 4

Severity: 30
The larva devours the victim's brain, killing them and expanding until its tail protrudes from the victim's jaw. In 1d4 hours, the victim becomes a Void Zombie.
