Radiant Corps

The eponymous corps of the Radiant Legion's military, the Radiant Corps is the Legion's focused naval force. Unlike the other branches of the Legion's military, which utilize a mixture of space and ground forces, the Radiant Corps focuses almost exclusively on space-faring combat. Sprawling void-craft carriers, veilswimming destroyers, and enormous battleships make up the bulk of the Radiant Corps' fighting might, leaving most planetary combat to the Gravity Corps.
During boarding actions, or when forced to engage in planetary combat, each large ship in the Radiant Corps includes a stationed unit of Radiant Knights. These soldiers are equipped with the best available weapons and armor and receive highly elite training, making them a terror to their opponents. On paper, that is. In practice, the Knights are hardly different from Gravity Corps soldiers, and lack their counterparts' actual combat experience. This discrepancy has lead to an intense rivalry between the Gravity and Radiant corps. The Gravs call the Knights "princesses" and the Knights call the Gravs "peasants".
